King Halal Market opened on Jefferson Davis Highway to give Dumfries a straightforward halal grocery — a butcher who knows the cuts, an oven that runs every morning, and a produce aisle that turns over fast enough to stay fresh.
Everything behind the counter is halal certified, so there's nothing to double-check before you shop. The rest of the store fills in the gaps a big chain leaves — dry fruits and nuts by the pound, cookware sized for a real family meal, and staff who know where things are.
